Where African stories find their people.

InqWork is a digital home for aspiring and established African writers to showcase their work — novels, short stories, poetry — and build a lasting readership across the continent and beyond.

We believe the African story is the world's most underrepresented creative resource.

Not because the stories don’t exist - but because the right home for them did not exist yet.

We are here to change that.

Mission

To preserve and amplify African stories.

We exist to make ordinary Africans feel seen and heard, to celebrate African culture in all its richness, and to prove that writing is a dignified, viable livelihood on the continent.

The security guard who saw something in the parking lot at 3am that he was never supposed to see.

The taxi driver who overheard two passengers talking but understood none of it — until the next morning, when she saw one of their faces on the news.

The nurse who sat with a patient through the night, listening to him talk in his sleep — names, places, amounts.

The student who discovered her scholarship was paid for by someone who expected something in return - but it was a debt she could not repay.

Every story deserves to be told â€” and every storyteller deserves a stage.
